Ride for the Roses
On Sunday 5 September Burdock rode again. This year’s route led us through Venlo and the 40-man company team, consisting of colleagues, friends and business relations of Burdock once again got on their bikes, together with 10.200 other participants, to cycle in support of the fight against cancer. It was an enjoyable ride and a very successful event.
The full amount of € 823.367,47 that we collected by cycling will be donated to research into colorectal cancer, part of which is important research conducted by the University Hospital Maastricht. With over 11.000 new patients every year, colorectal cancer, after breast cancer, is the second most common form of cancer. Any improvements in prevention, diagnosis and treatment will therefore benefit a huge number of people.
